2017 Ripken U13 National Championship

The Baseball New Zealand National Ripken U13 Championships will be held in Auckland from 6 to 9 April 2017
The Ripken National Tournament is one of Baseball New Zealand's most prestigious events, and will attract over 200 players and hundreds of supporters to each host venue, as well as national baseball scouts.
This event is the pinnacle of the junior aspect of baseball in New Zealand and competition is expected to be tight.
The championships will be hosted by the North Shore Baseball Club and will be played at Rosedale Park in Albany.
The best players at U13 level, from clubs throughout the country converge on the diamonds for one of the biggest date on the New Zealand club's baseball calendar.
Players will represent their clubs to compete in a tournament format to become the best club in the country, while places in the New Zealand Ripken All Stars national team are up for grabs as this tournament doubles as the first of the trials to select the team which will travel to Branson, Missouri in the United States in July/August to compete at the Cal Ripken World Series..
Games begin on Thursday 6 April and run through to the Finals Day on Sunday 9 April, with a full programme of baseball on the cards with back-to-back games each day.
Fans can expect the battle on the diamond for club pride to be enhanced by the individual quest for National team selection across all grades.
