Draw Confirmed for World Championship Qualifier
UPDATE: New Zealand to play in opening game, Palau pulls out of tournament
With just under 10 weeks to go before the first pitch of the tournament, the detailed schedule for the 2012 18U Oceania Baseball Championship in Guam was released on Monday.
Competition in the round robin phase begins on Friday, January 27 at 10am with the opening game between Palau and CNMI, and concludes with the Gold Medal game on Thursday, February 2.
The 5 team, double round robin competition will feature four games on the opening day, with CNMI, New Zealand, and Guam all having double headers to kick off the Oceania Championship which also acts as the qualifying tournament for the 2012 18U Baseball World Championship to be held in Korea.
Paseo Stadium in Guam will host the 18U Baseball World Championship Qualifier, which consist of host Guam, defending champion Australia, Palau, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marina Islands (CNMI), Guam and New Zealand.
Games will be played at 10am, 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm local Guam time (GMT +10:00).
