Do you have what it takes to be part of the New Zealand Diamondblacks team taking part in the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers at the end of the year? If so, this information is for you.
With the MLB season is in full swing it will not be long before the New Zealand Diamondblacks WBC team will be winging their way to Taiwan. As part of team identification and development the Baseball NZ Strength and Conditioning team has put together a NZ off-season program for all parties interested in trailing for the team so that all players will be fit and ready to hit the diamond running.
Over the coming month Baseball New Zealand will be conducting screenings of those players interested in being considered for national team honors.

SCREENING
The screening process will be undertaken by the qualified Baseball New Zealand Strength & Conditioning team and will include:
All players are required to bring cleats or suitable running shoes, comfortable exercising clothing, as well as any relevant medical information to complete testing.The main objective of the National Team Screening Program is to help identify athletes who may have a future with the New Zealand National Teams, with the particular focus of this testing towards the World Baseball Classic team.

The Manager and Coaching Staff for the NZ Diamondblacks WBC Qualifiers team will be announced in the coming month, with trial dates announced soon after.
