Baseball New Zealand Coaches Accreditation

Baseball New Zealand has partnered with Bracken e-Learning and USA Baseball to bring you the Baseball New Zealand Coaches Accreditation Scheme (BNZCAS). Our Baseball New Zealand Coach Accreditation Scheme is tailored to recognise the expertise you attain at each stage on your coaching journey. It begins with a Level 0 - Foundation and Level One - Fundamentals Accreditation. Levels 0 and Level 1 are designed specifically for those who are very new to baseball and wish to help with their daughter’s or son’s Baseball involvement. The highest NZCAS level currently is Level Three - Accelerant, designed for those who have shown the necessary competence to coach and develop those players in the higher playing levels of baseball in New Zealand.


Baseball, like many sports has a reputable coach education and accreditation program. Whether you are a coach, teacher, parent or a volunteer providing an opportunity for young people to play Baseball, Baseball New Zealand's coaching program will assist you to provide the best environment and progression to ensure lifelong participation in the sport. There are several requirements for Accreditation at any level. Once you have decided to become a coach in Baseball you need to:

1. Contact Baseball NZ Coaching Development Manager, Kris

2. Subscribe to the Weekly Monday Manager (click here)

3. Set up an online coaches account at,

4. Complete relevant coaches accreditation for Levels 0, 1, 2 & 3.

5. Complete relevant coaches clinics for Levels 0, 1, 2 & 3.

6. Maintain coaching accreditation status by attending yearly coaching clinics and webinars.


Baseball New Zealand has partnered with USA Baseball to bring the Baseball community of New Zealand a relevant coaches accreditation that is up to date with today’s Baseball teachings. Upon completion of the Baseball New Zealand coaches accreditation, coaches will be accredited to both Baseball New Zealand and USA Baseball.
