The Baseball New Zealand Board consists of nine (9) members, four (4) of whom are deemed independent members and who are appointed by the Board.
The Directors have a vast array of experience and expertise, ranging from business, marketing, and human resource management, through to participation in Baseball and softball as players, coaches and officials at the highest levels and at the grassroots.
Andrew Bailey - Chairman
Andrew has been involved with baseball in New Zealand for the past 7 years, having held governance and management roles with Bayside Westhaven Baseball Club (President) and within Auckland Baseball. Growing up in Ohio, Andrew played baseball in his youth and has been a lifelong fan of the sport. Andrew is an experienced commercial executive and director bringing governance, operating and financial management and business acumen to the board.

Scott Drinkwater - Director
Scott Drinkwater describes himself as being "consumed" by the game of Baseball almost his whole life, beginning as an under-10 player with Bayside Westhaven in 2001, this start has journeyed through to his wide involvement with the sport today. Scott's passion for Baseball is directed towards its growth and development in New Zealand, with a desire to see more Kiwi families enjoying the game and fulfilling all the opportunities the sport has to offer its players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and fans.
Outside of Baseball, Scott is a marketing manager at ASB, and heads up the marketing & contact strategy for the bank's remediation projects. Prior to working at ASB, Scott studied and played Baseball at Avila University in Kansas City, and after his playing career finished, worked for the Kansas City Royals in Ballpark Operations while completing his M.B.A.

Courtney Brooke - Director
Courtney’s professional background is as a lawyer, with particular experience in financial markets litigation. She notes that she is committed to good governance and compliance and hope to bring a skillset and perspective which compliments those of her fellow directors.
"I have been a regular presence on the side of the diamond since introduced to the game in New Zealand in 2010, I even took on a scoring role while based in the United Kingdom in 2012-2016. I love the sport and am really excited to help grow the game in New Zealand."

Lynn Torgerson - Director
Lynn is a Civil/Environmental Engineer and part time tutor at Ara Institute of Canterbury. She became involved in baseball when her son expressed interest in playing the sport a number of years ago. Lynn’s contribution to baseball quickly evolved from a side-line parent, to a scorekeeper, to a club secretary. From there, she became actively involved in growing baseball at the local and regional level. She was instrumental in the development of the Canterbury Baseball Association (CBA) strategic plan, and has represented baseball on the Christchurch City Council Sport Parks Network and the development of their long-term plan. Well-experienced in the consenting process, Lynn has contributed to the on-going improvements to CBA's Avonhead Park baseball diamonds. Lynn and her family continue to enjoy the relationships made through local and national baseball.

Nicky van den Bos - Director

Vaughan Wyber - Director
Vaughan has been extensively involved with baseball in NZ for the past ten years, having held positions of Howick Pakuranga Club President, Auckland Baseball President, and Vice President of Baseball New Zealand, before spending some time in Australia.Vaughan also has coaching experience, having been involved in local club teams, as well as a number of overseas tours for Little League, U13 Autumn Classic in NZ and Australia, and the NZ ‘AA’ Olympic qualifying tournament in Sydney.
